Rob is a client in recovery and became an ATSAC trustee in 2023.
He began his own journey of recovery from compulsive sexual behaviour in 2022 during which he approached ATSAC because he felt strongly that it could be beneficial to ATSAC if the board included someone who could represent clients undergoing therapy. The board agreed and welcomed him as a trustee.
Rob has a particular interest in ensuring that therapy considers the impact of neurodiversity on behaviour and recovery having been diagnosed with ADHD when he was 60.
Rob also brings a variety of skills and knowledge to the Board including facilitation of board business planning workshops and development of new initiatives to help neurodiverse clients in the future.
Rob can also provide a client’s perspective of 12 step recovery programmes and their links with therapy having experience of both aspects during his recovery.
